repeat visitor

A visitor to a Web site who has visited the site previously. Repeat visitors are usually identified by a cookie that was placed on their machine when they visited the site before. They may also be identified if they registered previously on the site and must identify themselves at the start of each visit in order to access content on the site. Repeat visitors are often tracked in the log file.
