RADIUS
Remote Authentication Dial-in User Service A public domain standard which defines the interfaces between a network access server, such as a firewall or a remote access server and a system which provides authentication, authorization, and accounting services. A RADIUS server is a system that provides these services and supports the standard RADIUS interfaces. RADIUS was originally developed by Livingston Enterprises.
